SEO Presentation PBEvent 2013
This is my first year at the PBEVENT and I’m giving an SEO Presentation, naturally. I’ve known @problogger for about 10 years and have always been a big fan of his work so I was delighted to be asked to present. On the flight up to the PBEvent every second passenger seemed to be going.
SEO Basics PBEVENT 2013
As I have only an hour to present I’m distilling the SEO down into the following elements.
1. Get Google Authorship setup
2. Do a site:website.com search on your site to make sure you have the right no. of pages indexed.
3. Use your keywords in title, H1, early in the article, in alt tags, filenames and captions.
4. Use a plugin like All-in-one-seo or Yoast SEO to make the above a little easier.
5. Write a series of at least three posts for a difficult phrase.
6. Get a link off your home page to the post you want to rank for.
First impressions of PBEvent
I’m very impressed so far. Some of the lessons that bloggers are getting are just really good life lessons. Plan, have goals that you are passionate about, fight through the fear, don’t compare yourself to others.
