August 2026 vs August 2025 · Relative year-on-year changes · Shopify

Their busiest month usually comes in November
TGD supplies glass and hardware for pool fencing and construction. Its sales normally peak as Australians get ready for summer. Last year, December narrowly set a new record.
August 2026 beat it. Their biggest online sales month, in the off-season.
For an ecommerce owner, the question is what helped that happen, and whether the same approach could help your store.
Get the work live while it can still make a difference
You probably have a list already. Search needs attention. Product pages leave questions unanswered. There is code to fix, email work to do and a campaign that needs a better buying journey.
The list is rarely the problem. Getting through it is.
With a conventional delivery team, this scope would take months. Analysis and planning alone could consume weeks. Then comes the queue for development, review and testing.
We now have specialist agents working alongside our team across analysis, planning, coding and QA. They work from the client’s data, commercial goals and product constraints. We can investigate one issue, build a fix for another and test completed work without putting everything through the same queue.
Our people decide what matters and take responsibility for what goes live. The client gets more delivery capacity without having to recruit and coordinate every specialist.
One example: customers searching for products you already sell
A customer types “Perspex”. Your catalogue says “acrylic”. Someone misspells “balustrade”. Another searches for a fixing using a different trade term.
Those are customers trying to buy. We used an agent to work through TGD’s customer search data and prepare the changes for its Boost search platform.
The completed work included:
- 90 search synonyms: matching misspellings and alternative names to the right products.
- Six collections with corrected product tags: improving how handrail, spigots, standoffs, fixings, gate hardware and fence posts surfaced in search.
- Better results for angled and raked glass: putting the relevant panels first.
The team reviewed the recommendations, implemented the changes and checked the results. That work sat alongside paid media, email and other conversion improvements.

You hire a team that can analyse, build and check
We manage paid media, search and conversion. Agents give that team more capacity to act on what the data shows, including technical work that would otherwise sit in a development backlog.
For you, that means:
- Less explaining the same problem: the work starts with your business context.
- Fewer handoffs to organise: analysis, implementation and testing are part of the delivery.
- More improvements in front of customers: less of the available time disappears into preparation.
The best models for your work. Freedom to change them.
We use the best models we can validate for each job, rather than forcing every task through one provider. We support open source because we want to inspect, adapt and move the systems we build.
Your business knowledge and proven working methods should carry forward when the technology changes. You should not have to start the briefing process again because a vendor changes its model or pricing.
Results compare August 2026 with August 2025. The sales increase reflects the wider programme, not an isolated test of agents or site search. The conventional timeline is our delivery estimate for comparable scope.
